Parking & Transport Options

 

Community Health Centres

Parking at our community health centres is free. Some centres have limited parking spaces.

Hospitals

All hospitals have accessible parking spaces and drop off zones near entrances.

Some hospitals are currently undergoing redevelopment. This means hospital maps may be out of date. Please allow extra time to find parking before your appointment.

Most hospitals have parking fees.

 

Reduced parking fees (concession) are available for patients and carers who:

  • Have a
    • Mobility Parking Scheme permit 
    • Pensioner Concession Card
    • Veteran Card
    • Health Care Card 
  • Go to hospital for
    • Ongoing cancer treatment
    • Treatment more than twice a week 
    • Daily dressing changes 
    • Cardiac rehabilitation or health promotion classes 
  • Receive Centrelink payments 

 

Reduced parking fees can be helpful if you need to visit the hospital often. There are 3-day and 7-day tickets available. Learn more about concession parking fees at NSW public hospitals. 

 

To apply for concession parking: 

  • Ask a Secure Parking Officer for a Concession Parking Form 
  • Have the form signed by a Social Worker or Nursing Unit Manager

Community Transport

 

Community transport services provide affordable and accessible transport for: 

  • People over the age of 65 
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples over the age of 50 
  • People with a disability 

 

They can take you to medical appointments, shopping centres, as well as social outings and community events.  

Contact your local community transport service for more information about eligibility, bookings, and fees.

Taxi Transport Subsidy Scheme 

The Taxi Transport Subsidy Scheme helps reduce the cost of taxi travel for people with disability. The scheme covers 50% of a taxi fare, up to $60 per trip.
