South Western Sydney Local Health District Cancer Services

SWSLHD Cancer Services provide comprehensive oncology consultative services, as well as specialty surgery, radiation treatment, chemotherapy, palliative care, haematology, cancer genetics and psychology services. In addition, the following services and facilities are available for cancer patients, carers and families:

Cancer Care Coordination Service
A hospital service available to the person diagnosed with cancer and their families to help them find their way through the hospital and the community health system.

Cancer Wellness Centres
Provide informal and comfortable areas for cancer patients and their carers where they can access information, advice and programs designed to support wellbeing.

Provides a wide range of resources such as fact sheets, face to face support groups, telephone and online support to people with cancer and their carers and families.

Canteen Counselling Service

A free and specialised program for young people aged 12-24 years old who have a parent with cancer or whose parent has died from cancer.

Leukaemia Foundation Australia

1800 620 420

Offers support services and information for people living with blood cancer, services including: accommodation, transport, support group, grief support etc.
