The Outpatient Respiratory Clinic at Bowral & District Hospital offers a range of services to assist in the management of respiratory health in the community.
Outpatient Respiratory Clinic
Respiratory Clinic is held on Wednesdays

Lung Function Testing
Occurs every Friday by appointment with a GP referral and is conducted with our Respiratory Scientist.
All testing is bulk billed.
The following tests are available:
- Spirometry
- Lung Volumes
- Diffusing Capacity
- Respiratory Muscle Strength
- Mannitol (Asthma) Challenges
Respiratory Clinical Nurse Consultant – Chronic & Complex Care
Referrals for Respiratory Chronic & Complex Care self-management support can be made by contacting the Clinical Nurse Consultant on 4861 0112.
In collaboration with your GP and/or Respiratory Specialist, the Respiratory Chronic Care Clinical Nurse Consultant provides the following services:
- Chronic condition self-management support
- Disease specific education
- Smoking cessation counselling
Please fax Outpatients Clinic referrals to 4861 0172 and ensure patient's correct contact details are included.
The Outpatients Clinic secretary will follow up the referral with the appropriate clinician and contact the patient and/or GP Clinic to confirm appointment.
Please note that appointments will be made on receipt of referral.
All referrals must include the patient's correct date of birth, contact phone number and address.
When referring patients to the Respiratory Outpatient Clinic at Bowral & District Hospital, please include the patient's carer details where applicable, including carer's name and contact number.
Pulmonary Rehabilitation
- Sessions are conducted on Tuesdays and Fridays 1pm - 3pm
- By GP referral

Independently run Lungs In Action Exercise Group
- Post completion of Pulmonary Rehabilitation
