Bowral & District Hospital Redevelopment
The NSW Government committed $68.7 million towards the Bowral & District Hospital Stage 1 Redevelopment;
Stage 1 of the redevelopment of Bowral & District Hospital is now complete.
The project has delivered a new building for clinical services which includes:
This project was delivered by Health Infrastructure in partnership with South Western Sydney Local Health District and completed in December 2020.
An additional $55 million has been committed by the state government for a second stage of redevelopment works at Bowral & District Hospital, with planning now underway.
Stage 2 works in 2021 included delivery of a new Pharmacy and Central Sterilising Services Department (CSSD), along with commencement of construction of a new, purpose-built dialysis unit, which was completed in March 2022. A range of landscaping works and access improvements to the existing administration building will soon commence, with planning and consultation currently underway for the remainder of Stage 2 works. Main works are expected to commence in late 2022 and will include significant refurbishment of existing buildings.
We look forward to sharing more information as the confirmed works progress and the scope of the Stage 2 redevelopment is finalised.
