GradStart Program - Our Aim

The aim of the GradStart Program is to promote a learning environment for Registered Nurses and Midwives to experience a smooth transition into the workplace by providing opportunities to:

• develop as a safe, confident and competent nursing/midwifery professional
• translate and consolidate learned knowledge skills and attributes into practice within a structured and supportive learning environment during the transition phase
• incorporate best available evidence in making decisions and providing  quality nursing practice within person-centred and evidence-based frameworks
• to facilitate the completion of a professional nurse/midwife portfolio to record achievements and skills as per the AHPRA requirements for continuing professional development
