NRTHLT33115 CERTIFICATE III IN HEALTH SERVICES ASSISTANCE

(Assistant in Nursing work in Acute Care) VET in Schools Program

Education and Organisational Development Service (EODS) offers the Human Services Curriculum Framework - HLT33115 Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Assisting in nursing work in acute care) qualification for Government and Non-Government school students.   This program enables Year 11 and Year 12 students to study the HLT33115 Certificate III in Health Services Assistance qualification as part of their HSC if required.  

Entry Requirements

Students must be -

    1. be enrolled in Year 10 at the time of expressing their interest.
    2. be recommended by their School for this program.
    3. be able to demonstrate that they meet the Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) requirements. Refer to the information provided above.
    4. meet all requirements of the Work Placement Demands Checklist. The Checklist outlines the physical and psychological work placement demands while working in the clinical setting. The checklist is available on request.
    5. be successful in the Interview organised by SWSLHD. The purpose of the interview is to determine students’ communication skills, their understanding of course requirements and ability to work within a diverse environment.
    6. comply with the NSW Ministry of Health’s Policy Directive PD2024_015 Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination Against Specified Infectious Diseases by completing the vaccination and immunisation requirements and providing evidence of such.
