Gastroenterology Department
The gastroenterology department provides inpatient and outpatient endoscopy (gastroscopy and colonoscopy). Therapeutic procedures include endoscopic control of upper and lower GI bleeding, upper and lower GI dilatations, GI stent insertion for benign and malignant strictures, argon plasma coagulation for GAVE and radiation proctitis, and PEG insertion. Dr Turner provides ERCP at Liverpool Hospital, Dr Teoh provides Fibroscan liver assessment at Liverpool Hospital and Dr Ho provides oesophageal manometry and pH studies at Campbelltown Hospital Supervisor of gastroenterology advanced trainee and basic physician trainee
