There are several steps involved in the application and approval process for students to gain nursing work experience in SWSLHD. The Guidelines for Careers Advisors and Students provides interested students and their careers advisors with detailed information and guidelines to follow.
As part of this process, students will be required to read, understand and comply with the following policy directives:
- PD2015-049 NSW Health Code of Conduct
- Section 6 of the NSW Health Privacy Manual for Health Information. (page 39 onwards)
- PD2024_015 Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination Against Specified Infectious Diseases
