HLT37315 Certificate III in Health Administration

The HLT37315 Certificate III in Health Administration offered by South Western Sydney Local Health District (SWSLHD) is a nationally recognised qualification aimed at strengthening the skills and confidence of administrative staff in healthcare. Delivered by the NSW Health Registered Training Organisation (RTO 90198), the program supports SWSLHD’s strategic goals by enhancing workforce capability, improving service delivery, and enabling career growth. It is tailored for current employees such as Ward Clerks, Administrative Assistants, and Clinical Support Officers (CSOs), and combines face-to-face sessions, online modules, and workplace-based activities for practical, job-relevant learning.

The program develops core competencies in medical terminology, infection control, customer service, WHS, and continuous improvement. Participants engage in structured training, simulations, and real-world tasks, supported by managers and educators. Graduates will be equipped to perform confidently in health administration roles and contribute to patient-centred care. The course also provides a pathway to further qualifications like Certificate IV in Business (Administration) or Leadership and Management, supporting long-term professional development.
