Liverpool Health and Academic Precinct


The $790 million Liverpool Health and Academic Precinct (LHAP) project will provide enhanced facilities and an increased capacity to meet future significant population growth for South Western Sydney. This significant redevelopment of Liverpool Hospital will improve the overall quality of health care and enable a more integrated service, encouraging the participation and partnership of health, research and education providers within the greater Liverpool area.

 

Expected completion: Late 2026

Campbelltown Hospital Redevelopment - Stage 2


Following on from the $134 million Stage 1 Campbelltown Hospital Redevelopment, which was completed in January 2016, Stage 2 of the project sees a further $632 million invested in further enhancements to the hospital campus, providing a range of services to meet the needs of the growing communities of South Western Sydney. Stage 2 will see the expansion of key clinical and support services, integration and expansion of mental health services and delivery of enhanced paediatric services.

 

Expected completion: Late 2023

Bowral & District Hospital Redevelopment - Stage 1

This $68.7 million redevelopment project will deliver a new, multi-storey clinical services building, providing improved access for patients and meeting future demand for services in the region. The project includes a new emergency department, theatres, birthing suites and inpatient wards.

 

Expected completion: Late 2020

Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital Emergency Department Redevelopment


The $25 million expansion and refurbishment of Bankstown-Lidcombe Emergency Department will provide enhanced facilities and increased capacity to meet the expected population growth for South Western Sydney. The project includes additional treatment spaces and short stay unit capacity, and will facilitate an improved emergency care experience for staff, patients and visitors.

 

Expected completion: Early 2021

New Bankstown Hospital


The NSW Government has committed $1.3 billion to build a new, state-of-the-art Bankstown Hospital on a new site within the Bankstown community. The new hospital will provide a range of expanded and integrated health services to help meet the healthcare needs of the growing community. Site options are currently being assessed, with the project due to commence prior to March 2023.
