Liverpool Health and Academic Precinct


The $830 million Liverpool Health and Academic Precinct (LHAP) project will provide enhanced facilities and an increased capacity to meet future significant population growth for South Western Sydney. This significant redevelopment of Liverpool Hospital will improve the overall quality of health care and enable a more integrated service, encouraging the participation and partnership of health, research and education providers within the greater Liverpool area.

 

Expected completion: 2027

Fairfield Hospital Redevelopment


The NSW Government has committed $550 million to upgrade and expand Fairfield Hospital to respond to the health needs of the growing local community. The redevelopment will create modern facilities which support nurses, doctors and other healthcare staff to deliver the best possible care to the community. The redevelopment is now in the planning stage. Planning identifies what services will be needed in the future, and the best way to develop facilities to support those services. The hospital will remain at the current site.

 

New Bankstown Hospital


The NSW Government has committed $1.3 billion to build a new, state-of-the-art Bankstown Hospital on a new site within the Bankstown community. The new hospital will provide a range of expanded and integrated health services to help meet the healthcare needs of the growing community.

 

Expected completion: TBA

Bowral & District Hospital – Stage 2


An additional $55 million has been committed by the NSW Government for a second stage of redevelopment works at Bowral & District Hospital. Early works included delivery of a new Pharmacy and Central Sterilising Services Department (CSSD), along with a new, purpose-built dialysis unit.

The remainder of the Stage 2 program of works are currently underway, which includes significant refurbishment of existing buildings to deliver a new Outpatient Centre, General Services Building, Aboriginal Dreaming Garden and landscaping and access improvements.

 

Expected completion: 2025
