Sleep Investigation Unit

The Sleep Investigation Unit at Liverpool Hospital is a National Association of Testing Authority/Australasian Sleep Association accredited laboratory for the comprehensive investigation of sleep related disorders.

Tests conducted include

• Diagnostic
• CPAP titration and review
• NIV titration and review
• Treatment efficacy studies (Mandibular Advancement Splints, positional devices, weight loss and oxygen therapy)
• Multiple Sleep Latency Test
• Maintenance of Wakefulness Test
• Home ambulatory sleep test

Sleep and Respiratory Specialists 
A completed Request Form must be accompanied by a clinical letter or recent discharge summary.

Liverpool Hospital Neurology, Renal, Cardiology and Endocrinology Specialists
A completed Request Form, Epworth Sleepiness Scale (ESS) and STOPBANG questionnaire must be accompanied by a clinical letter or recent discharge summary.

Patients from specialties other than Sleep and Respiratory will be provided a follow up appointment with a Sleep Specialist following their sleep study.

Enter through Entrance J via Burnside Drive and take Lift C to Level 4. Follow the signs to Ward CB4G.
