Education and Ongoing training & Support

In addition to the mandatory training program initially provided volunteers receive ongoing training and professional development throughout the year to assist them in their role.

Volunteers are encouraged to attend monthly meetings which provide an opportunity to catch up with other volunteers and debrief in a safe, understanding and non-judgemental atmosphere; learning from their shared experiences.  Regular in-services are also provided by guest speakers and hospital staff.
