Services

Consult/Counselling:

before, during and after pregnancy.

Ultrasound:

screening, diagnosis, assessment and surveillance.

first trimester screening, anomaly and growth assessment scans are available to women whose pregnancy has been identified as high risk.

women who are pregnant with monochorionic twins (identical / one placenta twins) are offered regular scans from diagnosis to delivery.

Prenatal Diagnosis:

non invasive - as above

invasive - amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling (CVS) and fetal blood sampling (FBS).

Fetal Therapy: 

fetal blood transfusion (FBT)

intrauterine drainage of amniotic fluid/ shunting (drainage) of fluid collections where appropriate

management of Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome (TTTS) with participation in treatment (laser) with the NSW Fetal Surgery Network based at the Royal Hospital for Women.
