K-6 Physical Activity and Healthy Eating Conference
A one-day professional learning conference to support the teaching of PDHPE and sport in primary schools. The conference focuses on implementing whole school strategies to promote physical activity and healthy eating.

Live Life Well @ School Online Modules
Participants develop an understanding of the Live Life Well @ School program and work with their school community to identify strengths and areas for improvement across the school's healthy eating and physical activity practices. The modules address standards 3.6.2, 6.2.2, 6.3.2, 6.4.2 and 7.3.2 of the Australian Professional Standards for teachers at the proficient level.

Local Workshops

Free professional development workshops open to all teachers and representatives from South Western Sydney primary schools.

PDHPE Networks
90minute NESA accredited workshops designed to up-skill teachers in areas related to PDHPE.

2017 Network topics include:

  • Term 1: Gymnastics
  • Term 2: Dance
  • Term 3: Game Sense
  • Term 4: TBC

Canteen Workshop
To support canteen managers, teachers and principals to meet the NEW NSW Healthy Canteen Strategy. The next canteen workshop will be held in Term 4 2017.

School In-Services
Teachers gain background knowledge in nutrition, physical activity and fundamental movement skills and how the whole school environment works to reinforce the health messages taught in the classroom. This two hour, NESA accredited session involves a theory and practical component, and is delivered by a Health Promotion Officer at your school.
