How to book an appointment

Bookings number

  • To book an appointment or for further information call 13 20 50.

No doctor’s referral is needed but you are encouraged to share your results with your doctor.

Interpreter number

Free Interpreter assistance is also available when booking an appointment by phone.

  • For the assistance of an interpreter call 13 14 50

Disabilities

For clients who are deaf, or have a hearing or speech impairment they can contact us through the National Relay Service,

  • TTY users phone 133 677 then ask for 13 20 50

  • Speak and Listen users phone 1300 555 727 then ask for 13 20 50

  • Internet relay users connect to the National Relay Service then ask for 13 20 50.

 

Disability

Wheelchair access is available at our fixed centres at Bankstown, Bowral, Campbelltown and Liverpool. Refer to maps under Screening Locations Table for fixed site details.

Clients are requested to inform the Service at the time of booking regarding any special needs.

Breast implants

We provide breast screening to women with breast implants. If you have breast implants, please inform the booking clerk at the time of booking your appointment.

BrestScreen NSW

Family history

The BreastScreen NSW screening cycle is every two years. However, women with a family history of breast cancer who have a first degree relative (mother, sister, daughter) who had breast cancer under the age of 50 are eligible to be screened annually.
