Changes to P2 car park


  • The old P2 car park closed to the public at 10:00pm on Wednesday 14 September 2022.
  • The new P2 car park is now open. Entry to the new P2 car park is via Burnside Drive only.
  • Accessible parking is located in the new P2 car park on Ground floor and Level 7A only.
  • There will be no changes to current drop-off zones at Entrances L, N and J.

Parking Fees

Fees apply to all Hospital car parks at the following rates. If you visit the hospital regularly and are having difficulty meeting parking costs, please speak to the ward clerk or relevant clinic you are visiting. Parking infringements will be issued for vehicles that are illegally parked.

Half an hour: $4.00
Hourly rate: $8.00
Maximum daily charge: $24.00

Concessional Car Parking

Concessional parking rates are available for eligible patients, their carers and visitors when using the P2 and P3 carparks at Liverpool Hospital.

3 plus hours $6.60 One exit only per 24 hours
3 day ticket $13.00 Frequent use allowing multiple entries and exits in a 3 day period
7 day ticket $26.10 Frequent use allowing multiple entries and exits in a 7 day period

Who is eligible for concessional car parking?

Eligible patients and their carers are those holding a concession card or requiring long term hospitalisation or regular treatment at Liverpool Hospital, as outlined below. A carer is a person providing ongoing support to a family member, neighbour or friend who needs assistance during their course of treatment.

Concession Card Holders

  • holders of a RMS issued Mobility Parking Scheme permit;
  • holders of a Pensioner Concession Card;
  • holders of a Gold Veterans Affairs Card;
  • holders of a Health Care Card.

Eligible concession cards: Identification must be in the form of the applicable government issued permit or card.

How to claim your concession rate?

The above eligible patients and their carers are required to present their parking ticket, photo identification and concession card to the Security Parking Office located on the ground floor of the P2 car park (opening hours 6am-10pm 7 days) to validate their ticket. A validated ticket is required prior to exiting the carpark.

Other eligible patients and their carers

  • ongoing cancer treatment patients;
  • patients and their carers who are required to attend the hospital/facility for a course of treatment over a period of time greater than one week;
  • patients and their carers attending more frequently than twice weekly, including carers of long term patients who visit frequently;
  • cardiac rehabilitation education and exercise class attendees;
  • daily dressing outpatients;
  • Health Promotion education class attendees.

How to claim your concession rate?

The above eligible patients or carers must present a completed Concessional Parking Ticket Authorisation Form signed by a staff member from their treating team confirming their eligibility. Copies of these forms will be available from your ward, clinic or treating team.

The signed form must be presented Secure Parking Office located on the ground floor of the P2 car park (opening hours 6am-10pm 7 days) to validate their ticket. A validated ticket is required prior to exiting the carpark.

Accessible Parking and Transport

Liverpool Hospital has a number of areas where patients can be dropped off, as well as accessible parking for people displaying their current Mobility Parking Scheme permit.

Parking fees apply to all Hospital car parks.

Transit/Discharge Lounge

The Transit/Discharge Lounge is available for discharged patients who are waiting to be picked up by their carer or transport provider. While you wait in the Transit/Discharge Lounge, you will receive the same high-quality care and attention that you received on your ward.

Please note there is a 20-minute pick-up and drop-off zone out the front of the Transit/Discharge Lounge.
