Clinical attachments

Undergraduate students

The orthopaedic department regularly takes undergraduate students from UNSW for their orthoapaedic rotations. The department is also active in supervising UNSW students in their ILP (Independent Learning Project) year, as well as honors students from the medicine program at UNSW. Each year, positions and projects are set aside for ILP students and honors students. Enquiries can be made by contacting the academic secretary.

Post graduate students

The department has a strong track record of supervising post graduate students and continues to supervise Masters and PhD students. Positions are available for further students. Potential Masters and PhD candidates should make an appointment to meet the research team via the academic secretary.

Orthopaedic trauma fellowships

One position exists for a 12 month position as the orthopaedic fellow at Liverpool Hospital. The position involves operating, on call, outpatient clinics, supervision and organisation of registrars, and a research component.
