Many families request that family and friends make an "In Memoriam" donation in lieu of flowers when they lose a loved one. It's a meaningful way to express sympathy.

Under Australian taxation law, receipts can only be provided for taxation purposes if someone provides a donation. A donation is defined as a gift given voluntarily that provides no material benefit to the donor. Donations of $2 or more are tax-deductible.
