Leadership Team

The Fairfield Hospital General Manager is responsible for the overall corporate and clinical governance, performance and strategic planning of the facility, reporting to the South Western Sydney Local Health District (SWSLHD) Chief Executive. The General Manager holds the highest level of delegation at the hospital and is the official spokesperson for the hospital.

Responsible for the management and administration of Medical Heads of Department and overall responsibility for medical appointments. Oversees medical governance and workforce matters and provides clinical governance advice to the hospital executive.

Responsible for planning and development of the Division of Nursing & Midwifery from financial, organisational, physical and human resource perspectives. Oversees specialised units including Infection Control, Patient Flow Unit and Nursing Workforce.

Manages corporate services including Sterilising Services, Clinical Information, Administrative Support, IT, Security and Patient Support Services, ensuring compliance with NSW Health and SWSLHD policies.

Provides clinical leadership for Allied Health departments and represents the hospital at Ministry of Health Committees and care model forums.

Provides financial management support including budget preparation, performance monitoring and coordination of hospital revenue functions.

Responsible for Quality Improvement, Patient Safety, Consumer Feedback, Policy Development and Risk Management, providing governance advice to the Executive.

Responsible for operational management of Nursing & Midwifery Services, including specialised nursing units and workforce oversight.

Leads development and implementation of HR policies and provides advice on performance management, industrial relations, succession planning and workforce matters.

Provides independent advice on clinical practice matters to support decision making, innovation and improved models of care.
