Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital Leadership Team

General Manager

The Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital General Manager is responsible for the overall corporate and clinical governance, performance and strategic planning of the facility, reporting to the South Western Sydney Local Health District (SWSLHD) Chief Executive. The General Manager holds the highest level of delegation at the hospital and is the official spokesperson for the hospital.

Director of Medical Services

The Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital Director of Medical Services is responsible for the management and administration of Medical Heads of Department and has overall responsibility for medical appointments. This position oversees medical, governance and workforce issues for the hospital and has responsibility for medical and clinical governance advice to the hospital executive.

Director of Nursing & Midwifery Services.

The Director of Nursing and Midwifery Services is responsible for the planning and development needs of the Division of Nursing & Midwifery Services from a financial, organisational, physical and human resource perspective. The position is also responsible for the management of specialised nursing units such as Infection Control, Patient Flow Unit and Nursing Workforce.

Director of Medicine

The Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital Director of Medicine provides advice, clinical management and discipline leadership for all Medical Departments. The Director of Medicine is a member of the Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital Executive Committee and holds a senior role in representing the Hospital at Ministry of Health Committees as well as forums in patient flow and models of care in medicine.

Director of Surgery

The Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital Director of Surgery provides advice, clinical management and discipline leadership for Surgery Departments. The Director of Surgery is a member of the Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital Executive Committee and holds a senior role in representing the Hospital at Ministry of Health Committees as well as forums in surgery, patient flow and surgical models of care.

Operational Nurse Manager

The Operational Nurse Manager is responsible for the operational management of Nursing & Midwifery Services at Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital. In addition to the Nursing and Midwifery Unit Managers, Senior Nurse Managers and Senior Clinical Nurses, the Operational Nurse Manager is responsible for the operational management of specialised nursing units, such as after-hours managers and Nursing Workforce.

Director of Corporate & Financial Services

The Director of Corporate & Financial Services is responsible for ensuring that the Hospital's corporate and hotel services operate within NSW Health, SWSLHD and Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital policies, procedures and resource allocations. The role is also responsible for overseeing the development, implementation and monitoring of key agreements for the delivery of services by or to external entities. The position is responsible for providing effective financial management support to Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital, including budget preparation, financial performance monitoring and provision of commercial advice. The position manages the revenue-related functions within the Hospital as well as management and system activities to ensure revenue is coordinated and managed effectively.

Human Resources Manager

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for leading the development, implementation and review of human resource policies and procedures and ensuring their application in the workplace.

The position provides support and advice for managers to assist them in conducting all operations relating to human resources and industrial relations functions, including the provision of advice and support on performance management; support and intervention in disciplinary matters; advice about succession management and retention; industrial relations grievance resolution and maintenance of the human resources information.

Director of Allied Health

The Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital Director of Allied Health provides advice and clinical leadership for Departments in the discipline of Allied Health. The position is a member of the Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital Executive Committee and holds a senior role in representing the Hospital at Ministry of Health Committees as well as forums and patient models of care in Allied Health.
