An ear, nose and throat specialist (ENT) is a physician trained in the medical and surgical treatment of the ears, nose, throat and related structures of the head and neck.

They have special expertise in managing diseases of the ears, nose and nasal passage sinuses, larynx (voice box), oral cavity and upper pharynx (mouth and throat), as well as structures of the neck and face.

• Liverpool Ear, Nose and Throat department provides general and subspecialty ear, nose and throat treatment. This includes management of head and neck cancer, lateral and anterior skull base surgery with:

• Dr Simon Greenberg - current Head of Department-  Lateral Skull Base surgeon (eg acoustic neuroma), Otology, Cochlear implantation and Implantable hearing devices.
• Dr Michael Chin - Subspecialty interest in Paediatric ENT, Endoscopic Sinus Surgery, Endoscopic Ear surgery (inc. Cholesteatoma) and Anterior Skull base surgery
