HIV and Related Programs - About us

The HIV and Related Programs (HARP) team is part of the Healthy People and Places Unit in Population Health.¬† The HARP team performs a strategic management, monitoring and reporting function for South Western Sydney Local Health District HIV, sexual health, viral hepatitis and needle and syringe program services.¬†   Details of the strategic priorities for HARP services can be found in the NSW HIV Strategy; NSW Hepatitis C Strategy; NSW Hepatitis B Strategy and the forthcoming NSW Sexually Transmissible Diseases Plan.

The HARP team provides services including:

  • Strategic direction and support to local services to achieve NSW Ministry of Health and Local Health District priorities
  • Support for planning and governance arrangements
  • Monitoring and improvement of performance against¬† Service Agreement targets
  • Coordination of activity data reports to the Local Health District Board and the Ministry
  • Workforce development programs.
