HIV & Related Programs (HARP) and Targeted Programs

HIV and Related Programs - About us

HARP & Targeted Programs is part of the Healthy People and Places Unit in Population Health.  The HARP team performs a strategic management, monitoring and reporting function for South Western Sydney Local Health District HIV, sexual health, viral hepatitis and needle and syringe program services.    Details of the strategic priorities for HARP services can be found in the NSW HIV Strategy; NSW Hepatitis C Strategy; NSW Hepatitis B Strategy and the forthcoming NSW Sexually Transmissible Diseases Plan.

The HARP team provides services including:

  • Strategic direction and support to local services to achieve NSW Ministry of Health and Local Health District priorities
  • Support for planning and governance arrangements
  • Monitoring and improvement of performance against  Service Agreement targets
  • Coordination of data reporting to the Local Health District Board and the Ministry
  • Workforce development programs.
