Associate Professor Paul Sved
Assoc Prof Paul Sved is the Urology Head of Department at Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital. Assoc Prof Sved Urology specialist and has practices located in Bankstown, Burwood, Strathfield, Newtown.
Dr Sved is a University teaching hospital Urological surgeon. His particular interest is in the management of patients with urological cancers (e.g., prostate, kidney and bladder cancer), kidney stone disease and men's health. He is also a Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of Sydney and is involved in prostate cancer research at the University main campus.
Dr Sved was awarded the Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery degree from the University of Sydney in 1994.
Dr John Boulas
Dr John Boulas is appointed as a Visiting Medical Officer to Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital. Dr Boulas gained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Sydney in 1969 and is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons. Dr Boulas has a private practice located in Burwood.
Dr Paul Gassner
 Dr Paul Gassner graduated from the University of Sydney in 1990 and completed internship and residency at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital including 5 months at Liverpool Hospital. He then commenced advanced training in general surgery before commencing Urology training. He spent time at Newcastle, Concord and St Vincent's Hospitals before undertaking a Uro-Oncology fellowship at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Adelaide in 2000.
He returned to NSW as a consultant Urologist in 2001 and in 2003 was appointed to Liverpool Hospital. He was appointed to Bankstown as a VMO in 2007.
Dr Gassner has been heavily involved in the teaching of registrars, residents, and medical students from both UNSW and UWS. He has given many lectures to local GP's. He was the training supervisor at Liverpool from 2009 to 2014 and is currently the Chair of the NSW Training Accreditation and Evaluation Committee of the Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand. He completed a preceptor-ship in 2008 at the Cleveland Clinic, Ohio USA in Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgery and has completed further training in Robotic Surgery in Hong Kong in 2013.
Dr Gassner's main areas of interest are Uro-Oncology (Prostate, Bladder, Kidney and Testis Cancer) for which he performs open, laparoscopic and robotic surgery, benign prostatic disease and the treatment of stones in the urinary tract. Dr Gassner has a strong commitment to providing the best quality of Urological care to the people of South Western Sydney and to continue to advance the service available at Liverpool and Bankstown Hospitals.
Dr Andrew Mitterdorfer
Dr Andrew Mitterdorfer specialises in urological oncology and renal stone surgery. Dr Mitterdorfer is appointed at as a Visiting Medical Officer for Urology at Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital.
Dr Mitterdorfer has a keen interest in the complete range of closed and open urological procedures and is one of the leading renal transplant surgeons in Sydney.
Dr Mitterdorfer was awarded the Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery by the University of Sydney in 1970 and holds a fellowship with the Royal Australian College of Surgeons.
Dr Dinesh Patel
 Dinesh Patel is a Urological Surgeon who has extensive experience in the management of prostate, kidney and bladder cancer, including Robot-assisted laparoscopic prostate cancer surgery.He also has a particular interest in minimally invasive surgery for kidney stones (laser and shockwave treatment).
Dr Patel also manages other general urological conditions such as prostatic enlargement, urinary tract infections and adult circumcision.
