Neurology Liverpool Hospital

Neurology deals with the diagnosis and treatment of disease involving the nervous system, including the brain, spinal cord, nerves and muscles.

The Neurology Department provides a full range of neurophysiology testing as well as neurology clinics. Services are located at the Neurophysiology Department and at the Neurology Department. Inpatient services are provided in the 30 bed Acute Stroke /Neurology ward.

The Neurology Department provides the following services:

  • Neurology clinics
  • Multiple sclerosis clinics
  • Nurse-led Stroke clinic
  • Post-acute Nurse-led clinic
  • Parkinsons Disease Apomorphine service
  • Neuropsychology clinics

The Neurophysiology Department  provides the following services:

  • Nerve conduction and EMG
  • Electroencephalogram (EEG)
  • Evoked potentials tests (SEP, VEP)
  • Audiology  - hearing and balance tests
  • Neurology clinics
  • Botox clinic
  • Motor neurone disease clinic (in association with Respiratory department and allied health team)

The Neurophysiology Department is located at Clinic 111, Level 1, Clinical Services Building, take lift B, Liverpool Hospital.

The Neurology Department is located at Mental Health Building, Level  1, take lift E, Liverpool Hospital.
