The Centre for Genetics Education - www.genetics.edu.au, is a state-wide service that provides accessible information about genetics. General practitioners and healthcare professionals can access fact sheets on common genetic disorders, The Genetics in Family Medicine handbook, on-line learning  module  and useful resources including referral information.

The Individuals and Family section for the public provides information on how to record your family health history, and learning basic facts about genes and DNA. There is a glossary, some multilingual resources and useful links.

For Information regarding medications in pregnancy, Mothersafe provides a free, state-wide telephone information and counselling service for pregnant women and their healthcare providers:
