From 1st November 2018, referrals for developmental and diagnostic assessment for children in South Western Sydney Local Health District will be accepted via a single referral pathway. This pathway includes the teams in Community Health Centres and at Campbelltown Hospital, and covers Campbelltown, Camden, Liverpool, Bankstown, Fairfield, Wollondilly and Wingecaribee.
Referrals are accepted for:
Pre-school aged children (12 months to school entry) with suspected developmental delay and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
School-aged children are seen on a case-by-case basis or complex learning difficulties/ASD. These children should receive an assessment by their school counsellor and a language assessment by a Speech Pathologist before being referred to this service.

Make sure the child is referred to:
Communicate your concerns to these professionals. They can do further assessment and/or intervention and make a referral to the Child Developmental Assessment Service when appropriate.
