Research and TeachingThe SWSLHD Mental Health Service has teaching links to a number of universities offering supervised undergraduate placements and encouraging the recruitment of motivated new graduates to work in a growing and vibrant service. The Service has formal research partnerships with the University of New South Wales through the Psychiatry Research & Teaching, Schizophrenia Research and Infant, Child & Adolescent Mental Health units based at Liverpool Hospital, and the University of Western Sydney through an Academic Chair in Psychiatry. The South Western Sydney Academic Mental Health Program was launched in November 2015 recognising the department for its strong track record of internationally recognised research which translates into cutting edge clinical practice and world-class treatment for patients. |
