Leadership Team

Dr Claire Jones, Director
The Director of Mental Health is responsible for the overall corporate and clinical governance, performance and strategic planning of the Mental Health Service, reporting to the SWSLHD Chief Executive.

Jennifer Glass, Director of Operations
The Director of Operations leads, directs and manages the operations of the Service, across a broad spectrum of service delivery models and corporate functions in line with SWSLHD strategic directions and the Service's operational plans. The position also provides significant input to the development and oversight of strategic and business plans, policy development, business and clinical service strategies and relationship management.

Dr Tuni Bhattacharyya, A/Director of Medical Services
The Director of Medical Services is responsible for the leadership and management of the Mental Health Service's medical staff. This position also provides clinical leadership and has responsibility for providing medical and clinical governance advice to the Service executive.

Kelly Walker, Director of Nursing
The Director of Nursing is responsible for the leadership and management of the Mental Health Service's nursing staff and plays an important role in the management of hospital-based mental health services. The Director of Nursing plans and develops nursing services from financial, organisational, physical, and workforce perspectives.

Patrick Parker, Director Community Mental Health & Partnerships
The Director Community Mental Health & Partnerships is responsible for the leadership, management and governance of the community mental health services and partnerships in SWSLHD. The position is also responsible for the identification, negotiation and establishment of strategic partnerships for the mental health services in the district.

Rebecca O’Brien, Director Allied Health
The Director of Allied Health, Mental Health Service is responsible for the overall management and coordination of inpatient Allied Health services across the SWS MHS and the professional governance and support of community allied health staff. The position provides executive leadership for the planning and development needs of the Allied Health service from a financial, organisational, strategic, physical and human resource perspective.

Kate Butler, Director Patient Safety and Quality
The Director Patient Safety & Quality, Mental Health is responsible for the leadership and management of the Mental Health Patient Safety Program and the Mental Health Clinical Governance Unit. The position provides high level advice and support to the Mental Health Executive Leadership Team on the extent to which compliance with governance, quality and safety standards are being achieved. The position also provides leadership to influence and guide clinicians and managers to implement clinical practice changes in relation to patient safety systems and evaluate outcomes of system and practice improvements across the range of mental health services.

Peter Lam, Finance and Revenue Manager
The Finance and Revenue Manager provides leadership, management and direction in Financial, Revenue and Business Operations of the Mental Health Service. The position manages the financial and revenue components of the service including review of the financial, revenue and business processes of the service to ensure safe, effective and efficient provision and coordination of health care services.
