Community Services - Liverpool and Fairfield

The Liverpool and Fairfield Community Mental Health Services provide mental health services in Liverpool, Fairfield and surrounding areas. These teams work out of a number of sites including the Mental Health Centre at Liverpool Hospital and Fairfield Community Health Centre at Carramar.

Community Mental Health Emergency Team (CoMHET)
CoMHET provides a timely response for people experiencing an acute mental health need in the community. CoMHET has care provision partnerships with emergency care services.

Hours: 8:30am - 10:30pm, 7 days a week (including public holidays)

Liverpool Community Mental Health Team (LCMHT)
The Liverpool CMHT provides clinical services to people living in the community who have complex mental health needs and require ongoing care and management. This team works in partnership with general practitioners (GPs), non-government organisations and other health providers to provide a comprehensive package of care that meets consumers' needs.

Hours:  8:30am - 5pm, Monday to Friday

Fairfield Community Mental Health Team (FCMHT)
The Fairfield CMHT provides clinical services to people living in the community who have complex mental health needs and require ongoing care and management. This team works in partnership with general practitioners (GPs), non-government organisations and other health providers to provide a comprehensive package of care that meets consumers' needs.

Therapy and Recovery Service (TARS)
The Therapy and Recovery Service is the Mental Health (MH) rehabilitation arm of the Liverpool and Fairfield MH service. TARS provides community-based services to consumers with a MH condition to assist them to achieve identified social, vocational, recreational and living skill related goals. The service also provides targeted psychological treatment for anxiety, mood and related disorders.

Early Psychosis Intervention Program (EPIP)
The Early Psychosis Service provides early intervention and specialist treatment services for young people between the ages of 16 and 25 years who are experiencing first episode or recent onset psychosis.

Aboriginal Mental Health Workers
The Aboriginal Mental Health Workers provide a range of interventions and support for Aboriginal consumers of mental health services. The workers focus on consultation and liaison between staff and consumers, family engagement, advocacy and networking with other services to provide holistic care and support.
