General Medicine & MAU

There are three General Medicine teams at Campbelltown Hospital.

Team A consists of:

  • Dr Satoshi Akima-  General Medicine and Acute VMO
  • Dr Harpereet Singh - General and Acute Medicine Staff Specialist
  • Dr Dev Verick - General and Acute Medicine Staff Specialist

Team B consists of:

  • Dr Garry Heprin - General and Acute Medicine VMO
  • Dr Allan Hsu - General and Acute Medicine VMO
  • Dr Thusitha Muhandiram - General and Acute Medicine Staff Specialist

Team C consists of :

  • Dr Ram Ghimirie
  • Dr Viictor Joseph

 

The Professorial Medicine teams alternate in patient admission through the Emergency Department of acutely unwell medical patients. The Professorial Medicine teams also admit and care for patients from their individual outpatient clinics.

Medical Assessment Unit (MAU)

The Medical Assessment Unit (MAU) is a general medical unit designed to provide proactive specialist medical and multidisciplinary care over a 48 hour period. Patients who require a longer period of care are transferred to other medical wards within Campbelltown Hospital.
 
The Medical Director of the MAU is Dr Dev Verick FRACP. Dr Verick is also a Conjoint Lecturer at the University of Western Sydney.
