Green Valley Liverpool Domestic Violence Service (GVLDVS)

The Green Valley Liverpool Domestic Violence Service (GVLDVS) assists victim-survivors of domestic and family violence who live in Liverpool Local Government Area (list of suburbs in LGA).

Access to services are available at Community Health Centres.

Referrals can be made by government, non-government service and self-referrals. The service provides therapeutic counselling for adults, adolescents and children who are victim/survivors of domestic violence. The service provides case management services which may include advocacy, court support, liaising with police or other organisations such as Housing or Centrelink, brokerage support (locksmiths and removalists) and education about domestic violence.

The service provides therapeutic groups for adults and children, information regarding other services in the area or out of area and may refer where appropriate. They also refer perpetrators to behaviour change programs/counselling or assist male victims by providing information and referrals.
Green Valley Liverpool Domestic Violence Service also provides regular education sessions to both NSW Health and other non-government organisations in order to raise awareness about domestic violence and the service.
