About

South Western Sydney Local Health District - one of the largest health districts in NSW with over 16,000 staff and the fastest growing population in the state

SWSLHD covers seven Local Government Areas. Each LGA has its own unique population including the multiculturally diverse communities of Fairfield and Bankstown, the rapidly growing communities of Campbelltown, Liverpool and Camden and the rural towns, villages and communities of Bowral, Wollondilly and Wingecarribee.

The District is among the most rapidly growing populations in NSW and projected to grow to over more than a million people in the next decade. It is also a vibrant, culturally diverse region with almost a third of its population speaking a language other than English at home.

The District covers both rural and suburban communities and manages six acute public hospitals and a range of other services to provide comprehensive healthcare for the population of south western Sydney:

These facilities and services include:

  1. Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital
  2. Camden Hospital
  3. Campbelltown Hospital
  4. Fairfield Hospital
  5. Liverpool Hospital
  6. Bowral and District Hospital
  7. Primary & Community Health
  8. Population Health
  9. Mental Health
  10. Drug Health
  11. Oral Health

The District has a number of additional healthcare centres, programs and mechanisms to support our communities, providing a wide array of clinical and non-clinical roles within our large, diverse workforce.
