The Graduate Health Management Program (GHMP) began in 2003 in the former Sydney South West Area Health Service and continues to be conducted in SWSLHD. The aim of the GHMP is to deliver a program which will best provide the organisation with capable and effective managers who hold a strong commitment to the organisation and health system.

The two year program commences in February each year and provides on the job training and experience combined with the Master of Health Leadership & Management (University of New South Wales)(UNSW)

In addition to this, each graduate will be mentored at each placement and will receive support from other students / graduands throughout the District and executive staff.

Our District's senior management team & UNSW are committed to supporting the GHMP as this Program continues to successfully attract, develop and retain staff that are motivated, flexible, adaptive and highly skilled.

Your commitment to the Program will come with a number of challenges including learning about the complex health system whilst you complete your sponsored Masters degree.
