Our Emergency Department [ED] works around the clock with dedicated staff to provide you with quality care. We are an award winning department prepared to handle a variety of acute illnesses and health care emergencies for adults and children.

How Our Department Works

When you arrive at Emergency you will be seen by a triage nurse to evaluate the severity of your illness or injury. Following triage you may have to wait in our ED waiting room depending on the number of emergencies [critically ill and injured patients] in the department. You will then be called into the Emergency Department for further care and treatment.

PLEASE REMEMBER - Emergency Departments are for emergencies, if your condition is not an emergency please visit your local doctor or our General Practice Unit located at the hospital:
