Ambulatory Care

Ambulatory Care provides multidisplinary services to acutely ill patients both at home and within the unit. The services provided include:

  • Administration of IV antibiotics
  • Administration of Injections
  • Cannulation
  • Insertion of PICC lines
  • Medical management [pathology, clinical conditions, INR] and reviews
  • Blood transfusions and blood support products
  • Minor medical procedures
  • Intravenous drug infusion
  • Falls prevention

The Ambulatory Care Unit consists of medical doctors, registered nurses, a specialist registered nurse, occupational therapist, social worker and physiotherapist.
