Liverpool Sexual Health Counselling Service

Our counsellor provides professional counselling support to individuals and couples who meet the eligibility requirements of the service.

Our counsellor provides a safe, confidential and non-judgmental service. You may be able to obtain any information or resources that you need via the counsellor.

Counselling is available for:

  • Coping with a new diagnosis of HIV, Hepatitis C, or a sexually transmitted infection
  • Living better with HIV
  • Sexual orientation/identity, gender identity and coming out
  • Safer sexual practice
  • Assisting people to change behaviours that place them at risk of becoming infected with HIV/STI
  • Assisting in contacting sexual partners who may need to be tested and treated for STIs (contact tracing)
  • Advocacy and referral to other services.
