The Clinical Library & Information Network (CLIN) is a cooperative network of all South Western Sydney Local Health District Hospital Libraries, sharing resources and services across the district to support patient care, research, education, professional development, and policy/protocol development.
All staff of South Western Sydney Local Health District, students and academics affiliated with the medical faculties of UNSW Sydney, Western Sydney University and University of Wollongong; and other affiliated groups by arrangement are eligible to join and use the CLIN Libraries.
Staff and students may register for a library card by using the online staff or student form located on the CLIN website or visit your local CLIN Library and complete a print form.
Staff may borrow up to six items for a two or three week loan period
Students may borrow up to six items for a two week loan period
Items may be renewed on or before the due date by phone, in person or via the Library Online Catalogue. Items may be renewed as long as the particular item is not overdue and has not been reserved by another borrower.
Items may be returned to any CLIN Library. All CLIN Libraries have after hours return bins for returning outside Library hours.

All CLIN Libraries charge overdue fines of $1.00 per item per day. To avoid fines return items or renew items on or before the date due.
All CLIN Libraries offer access to electronic resources via their MyAthens portal.
Online resources are also linked through the Library Online Catalogue.

Journal articles can be requested through your local CLIN Library's Interlibrary Loans (ILL) & Document Supply Service. Complete the online form located on the CLIN website or complete a print form available at any CLIN Library. Contact your local CLIN Library for further information.
If you need a book or book chapter from a book not held by a CLIN Library complete the online Interlibrary Loans (ILL) & Document Supply form located on the CLIN website or complete a print form available at any CLIN Library. Contact your local CLIN Library for further information.
CLIN Interlibrary Loans (ILL) & Document Supply Service operates on a cost recovery basis, requests are usually free. You will be notified if any charges apply.
All CLIN Libraries provide a variety of education sessions to suit individuals and small groups.
Education sessions include Searching CIAP, Searching CINAHL, support for Research searching, Literature Search assistance and EndNote Basics.
Sessions may be booked via My Health Learning or by contacting your local CLIN Library. All sessions will accrue CPD points on completion.
Bankstown, Campbelltown and Liverpool Hospital Libraries have bookable rooms. The Room Bookings webpage on the CLIN website lists the available rooms and an online form to book these rooms.
Bankstown and Liverpool have audio-visual equipment which may be booked. Use the Room Booking webpage on the CLIN website to access Bankstown or Liverpool for a list of equipment and the online booking form.
All CLIN Libraries have computers with internet access, MS Office, EMR access and EndNote for client use. Contact your local CLIN Library for more information.
