Continuing professional development (CPD) is how health practitioners maintain, improve and broaden their knowledge, expertise and competence, and develop the personal and professional qualities required throughout their professional lives. Health practitioners who are engaged in any form of practice are required to participate regularly in CPD that is relevant to their scope of practice in order to maintain, develop, update and enhance their knowledge, skills and performance to help them deliver appropriate and safe care” Australian health Practitioner Regulation Agency 2019.
CEWD provides a suite of courses designed to support staff to develop knowledge and skills relevant to their roles, and, where applicable, to meet the requirements of professional registration.
Some CPD courses have an Expression of Interest process. These courses are listed below. Please click on the relevant course name for the Expression of Interest information and application form. Applicants may still be required to apply for the course through My Health Learning. Submitting an EOI form does not secure a seat in the class. Please ensure you liaise with the course co-ordinator to clarify requirements.
