Macarthur Postnatal & Women’s Health ServicesThe Maternity Unit is a 30 bed facility providing Postnatal, Postoperative and women’s health services to the women of Macarthur and their families. With a new unit opened in 2005, the Maternity & Women’s Health Unit is a modern facility which offers pregnant women, new mothers, their families and visitors an exemplary maternity experience. The Maternity Unit provides care to women in both the antenatal and postnatal period and also provides postoperative care to non-pregnant women following gynaecological and general surgery. Our unit also offers a Midwifery Support Program which allows women to go home shortly after the birth of their baby allowing for effective and supportive postnatal care to be provided by a Registered Midwife in the comfort of your own home. The birth of your baby is one of the most important events in your life. Macarthur Health Service’s Maternity Services are supported by experienced and dedicated obstetricians, midwives, physiotherapists and lactation consultants who are committed to providing you with comprehensive postnatal care and parenting support and education during your stay with us.
