The nursing staff within Apheresis are specialised and will attend to your care.

As Apheresis is a day unit, you will be taken to the unit from your ward or you will be made an appointment to attend the unit as an outpatient. It is important that you are on time and that you are flexible, as we may need to change your appointment due to the need to treat emergency cases. Your understanding and patience is greatly appreciated. On occasions your procedure may need to be attended after hour.

An assessment by the Apheresis staff will be conducted prior to coming to the unit or on your first appointment to go through the procedure with you as some Apheresis procedures can take several hours.
