Diabetes Education Service

Bowral and District Hospital now has a Diabetes Service

The Service is known as the Bowral Diabetes Education Service and is situated in Bowral & District Hospital building.
The Bowral Diabetes Education Service provides individual education for people with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) and Gestational Diabetes Mellitus (GDM)

Our hours of Service are:
Tuesdays 8:30am to 4:00pm
Thursdays 8:30am to 4:00pm

Tuesdays is our day designated for education of ladies with Gestational Diabetes and we are situated in the Maternity Unit and work in conjunction with the Antenatal Services

Thursdays we provide Education for people with T2DM following referral from their General Practitioner, Specialist or after Discharge from Bowral Hospital

The Diabetes Clinic will be conducted by Edwina Oliver a Registered Nurse/Credentialed Diabetes Educator. She has been working in Diabetes since 2008 and has joined us from St. George and The Sutherland Hospitals Diabetes Service.

Clients with T1DM should be referred directly to Macarthur Diabetes and Endocrine Department
