Orthoptics

StepsThe Orthoptics service provides screening of children, which includes assessment of vision, eye movement, colour vision and vision development.

This screening may occur at the Community Health Centre, Early Childhood Clinic or Preschool.

Orthoptists also follow up high priority referrals following a Statewide Eyesight Preschooler Screening (StEPS)  vision screen.

Eligibility

Children aged 0-18 years of age within the appropriate Local Government Area (LGA)
