Fairfield Hospital has a variety of allied health services including:

Physiotherapy

The Physiotherapy department works together with medical, surgical and other allied health teams to provide care to our inpatients. Outpatient physiotherapy services are also provided Monday to Friday including:

• Knee classes
• Back classes
• Aquatic Physiotherapy
• Exercise Physiotherapy

Podiatry

The podiatry unit is a specialised area focusing on foot disorders/disease of high risk patients. The service works with other health professionals to care for our inpatients and also provides outpatient services Monday to Friday.

Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapy focuses on developing and maintaining people’s skills to carry out their everyday occupations such as work, self care, leisure and home management. Our occupational therapists work with other health professionals on the wards to care for our inpatients.

Social Work

Our Social Work department works closely with other health professionals to provide patients and their families support, counselling and other services.

Speech Pathology

The Speech Pathology department works with inpatients and outpatients to assist with speech and swallowing difficulties.

Diabetes Clinic

Our diabetes clinic provides outpatients services for individuals or groups. They assist patients by providing education and strategies to help manage their diabetes.
